Snow Sculpture Design

Our Snow Sculpture design incorporates Two Australian icons representing the beauty and uniqueness of the land down under.

With a 3m high x 3m wide and 3m deep block of compressed snow to work with, carving out our design will be a challenge in below -5 to -20 winter conditions for the 44th International Snow Sculpture Contest at the 68th Sapporo Snow Festival.

Title:   Opera-chidna

Description:  Two Australian icons representing the beauty and uniqueness of the land down under. Australia’s World Heritage Sydney Opera House with its beautiful sail-like structure, famous world-wide and the unique Australian native animal Echida, a special kind of mammal called a monotreme that lays eggs and has a pouch.
